The Fallen Leaves are the swingingest gentleman’s punk rock rhythm n blues combo to ever grace our sainted stage. Always a pleasure and certainly never a chore. Making the garage as swish as the boudoir, as they do, these gents kick up a sizzling freak beat without ever breaking a sweat. Clever!…and all with a wry, knowing nod. Yes, the riffing is rakish and the tunes are tippertop. Essential.
Micko and the Mellotronics – Micko Westmoreland and his perfect, perky riddim section are special guests tonight- performing wonderful angular angst pop tunes that remind at times of XTC, Wire and Orange Juice, but always have their own Mellotronic stamp. Check out their rather splendid expanding discography too.
Sternums - Garage /indie band from Brighton. So, think Jet, or the MC5 after they’ve gone thru the Jeff Goldbloum ‘The Fly’ style matter transfer mosheen with The Strokes…
