Event information
Rowan Stuart is a singer-songwriter-guitarist from South Africa, who relocated to Devon, UK in 2024. With a love of fantasy and storytelling, Rowan is on a quest to bring his inner worlds to life through the power of music, and has been steadily winning over British audiences with his signature style of Modern Folk & Alt Pop.
From session guitarist roots, to stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist in 2008, Rowan toured South Africa extensively, supporting many of the country's most successful pop and rock music acts, while releasing 7 original albums. His latest singles 'Black Hole', 'Find A Way' and 'Fable Of Us' were each featured on BBC Radio Introducing.
In 2025 he formed the Rowan Stuart Trio, recruiting Exeter-based Mattie James and Mitch Pike on bass guitar and percussion, respectively. Bassist Mattie adds a flair of old-time jazz, while Mitch brings his alt rock roots into the mix with tight and propulsive percussion.
Rowan's live performances play out like a musical journey, transporting his listeners through a cinematic soundscape of genres, philosophies and glimpses into other worlds.
