Summer Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

at the Dunton Community Garden

Event information

This workshop will give you the confidence and practical experience to maintain your own stone fruit trees (plums, cherries, peaches and apricots that should only be pruned in the summer).

We will demonstrate and practice on trees around 10-20 years old.

The session will cover the basic principles of pruning stone fruit trees, safe use of pruning tools and overall health of your tree. Suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their fruit tree pruning skills. All tools and safety wear will be provided, but PLEASE BRING STRONG WORKING GLOVES. If you wish to bring your own tools they must be sterilised and sharp.

Bring photos of your own trees for advice at the end.

THIS ACTIVITY IS FOR 18+ ONLY

ARRIVAL TIME : Please arrive between 10:00 and 10:15 for a cup of tea and a prompt start
WORKSHOP START TIME : 10:30 - 12:30

This activity is funded by Central Bedfordshire Council from the UKSPF Culture Fund.

THE COST OF THIS ACTIVITY IS £5.00 :
- If you are a CBC RESIDENT THE COST IS FULLY DISCOUNTED, however there is a charge of £2.50 for refreshments.
- If you live outside the area, there is a charge of £5.00 + £2.50 for refreshments.
