Punk Sunday Matinee Season Finale! Doors open at 1pm and we have the whole pub til close! .
*** ON THE DOOR £13 CASH ONLY ***
FOUR punk bands, celebrate the finale of this amazing season for MoonPunx, and are gonna set your Sunday alight!
This fully accessible venue has close transport links and is in one of the most eclectic parts of London, Chalk Farm, just minutes away from Camden Market.
Creating that vital spark for you we have Dinosaur Skull; they play scratchy poppy punk, a guitar / keyboard / drum machine mash-up spinning tales of south London life.
Bringing the fire to life and fanning those flames we have Emily Flea; Emily Flea; The singer/guitarist from Brighton's premier queer-anarcho punx Daffodildos brings their unique songwriting style in a stripped down acoustic mode. Songs about creeps, pride, and Emily's everyday life. Charmingly ramshackle folk-punk delivered with wit and venom. Will appeal to fans of Zounds, The Raincoats, Omega Tribe, X Ray Spex etc. You will recognise Emily as the bass player for those legendary, magnificent anarcho punks Rubella Ballet.
Further fuelling that fire getting the blaze roaring, we have The Cheap Heathens who along with Emily Flea, have also stepped in; Rousing proper punk 3 piece, '77 style, and UK 80s, formed in Brixton and gigging around London and the South East since 2024.
Headliners Hagar the Womb will set the entire place alight! Hagar the Womb formed in the toilets at London’s Wapping Autonomy Centre in 1981. From these rather tarnished beginnings, they flexed their DIY punk wings and became known for adding fun and live chaos to the London anarcho-punk scene. They released their first EP 'The Word of the Womb' on Conflict’s Mortarhate label in 1984, followed by a legendary John Peel session and a second EP “Funnery in a Nunnery” on Abstract records before splitting in 1987. The band reformed in 2011 with all original band members and have recorded, gigged and giggled ever since. They continue to relish playing live, with their distinct on-stage brand of semi-organised chaos born of knowing each other for too long and never finding enough time to rehearse. They also celebrate a personal record of having lasted longer since reforming than they managed in the 80s. This Fiddlers Elbow gig will be their only London gig for the rest of the year so don't blink and miss it!!
Like moths to a flame, gather round Punx, its gonna get HOT!
