Street band battle between locals Horns of Plenty and visitors Pompier Poney Club, the Fanfare Hyperactive de Marseille.
Join us for a two band clash - these bands are a riot of brash brass and soothing sax backed up by thundering percussion. A brass cultural exchange between two amazing street bands!
Horns of Plenty were born out of the Cowley Road Carnival in 2007, proud to be Oxford's Community Street Band and a musical force to be reckoned with. No matter whether you meet a select group or the whole complement of Horns of Plenty, they promise a musical delight that’ll dazzle!
Le Pompier Poney Club, created in 2012 in Marseille, is an international fanfare, with members from across France, Belgium, Rome & New York. This over energetic brass band blows its ferocious musical wind here, there and everywhere! Comfortable in the streets as on stage, you’ll find them in all kinds of events: festivals and neighborhood gatherings, cultural and social initiatives, protests and parades, tiny bars and large parties... and NOW Oxford!
