A musical journey with Brazilian violinist Felipe de Souza, whose performance weave through diverse sonic landscapes — from the vibrant pulse of Brazil to the improvisational depth of jazz and the refined textures of European classical traditions. His music is a search for resonance within the collective unconscious, drawing out melodies that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar.

Felipe brings a rich, genre-blending sound shaped by his roots and global influences, offering a night of immersive and evocative performance.

Felipe has collaborated with some of the most influential figures in Brazilian popular music, including Caetano Veloso and Carlinhos Brown, contributing his unique voice to a wide range of celebrated projects. He directed the original soundtrack for the acclaimed feature film The Violin Teacher (Tudo Que Aprendemos Juntos), directed by Sérgio
Machado, and was featured in the documentary El Milagro de Candeal by Oscar-winning filmmaker Fernando Trueba. These experiences reflect Felipe’s versatility and deep engagement with the cultural and emotional power of music across genres and forms.

For this special performance, Felipe is joined by some of the most distinctive and expressive musicians on the London scene: Luna Cohen, known for her soulful and intimate vocals; Jonny Phillips, whose guitar work blends jazz fluency with deep lyricism; John Turville, an award-winning pianist with a sensitive and exploratory touch; Fernando
Demarco, bringing depth and groove on bass; and Jansen Santana, a masterful percussionist whose rhythms pulse with the spirit of Afro-Brazilian traditions. Together, they create a sound both rooted and forward-looking — a collective voice that is as dynamic as it is profound.
