This year Simcha returns to Belper's lovely venue: No.28 for a full length concert. They will be playing material from their latest album 'Fezovka' and new and moving repertoire.
Simcha’s music celebrates the fusion of different traditions and cultures which took place in Eastern Europe in the early part of the last century. Jewish, Balkan, Gypsy and Arabic styles combine to provide a wonderful synthesis of grass roots music that brought ordinary people together. Sometimes joyful, sometimes tragic, it is always moving.
