We’re delighted to welcome back the incredible Tony Kofi for his third appearance in as many years at St Andrews — a firm favourite for good reason. With a tone steeped in the spirit of classic bebop, Tony’s alto saxophone captures the raw energy and innovation of modern jazz’s early trailblazers.
This special night pays tribute to the legendary Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker, Bud Powell, Dizzy Gillespie and more — brought to life by a swinging quintet featuring Tony Kofi (alto sax), Chris Coull (trumpet), Tim Wells (piano), Paul Whitten (bass), and Joe Edwards (drums).
Expect fiery solos, tight arrangements, and a night steeped in the timeless language of bebop.
