Rick Simpson presents his first project playing Piano Trio. Original tunes and inventive arrangements become launching points for improvisation, with the band slipping effortlessly from one piece into another. With all three musicians leading the way, the music can be lyrical, chaotic, swinging or spacious, always unpredictable and engaging. At the core is one of the UK’s great rhythm sections, Dave Whitford and Tim Giles.
