Event information
Marie Little is always a delightful guest performer, bringing new material as well as old favourites, which is why we invite her back every January! A native of Salford who now lives in the North-East of England, Marie has been around the folk scene for many years and has appeared at clubs and festivals all over the UK and Europe. A well-respected figure, her CV includes several albums as well as TV, radio and Festival appearances. Her material ranges from industrial and contemporary songs of social significance, through to music hall and country music, all of which have her unique stamp of quality. Marie has never lost her old Salford chat and earthiness. This, along with her warm personality and choice of good quality songs delivered in a relaxed manner, has made her both popular and a must for folk calendars everywhere. Country, folk or music hall, hilarious, sad or thought provoking, you never know what blend you’ll get in one of Marie’s performances.
