2009 was a busy year for Mark McKnight seeing him release his debut album as a leader, be named Young Irish Jazz Musician of the Year at the Cork Jazz Festival and receive the Musicians Benevolent Fund Development Award.
Following an extremely successful Ireland/UK tour with his organ group (augmented to a quartet by NYC saxophonist Will Vinson) McKnight begins 2010 with a 12 date guitar trio tour encompassing dates in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England and Norway.
In addition to McKnight on guitar the group features two of the UK's most in demand young jazz musicians, Scottish double bassist Euan Burton and London's James Maddren on drums.
