After a time away from organising one-off shows, Sinking Ship Promotions is proud to announce SINKING SHIP SESSIONS: VOLUME I
There are so many good bands coming through in the UK right now. Abyssal is tremendous fun for us and is continuing to grow, but we intentionally try to keep that event broadly within a genre/theme to retain its identity. We have therefore decided to bring back some specifically curated gigs to showcase the glut of amazing bands in the UK underground scene at the moment.
We are enormously proud to kick this series off with none other than the almighty Burner. Hot off the back of an incredible performance at ArcTanGent 2025, Burner are an unmissable live experience, wielding an intense fusion of hardcore and death metal to lay waste to venues up and down the UK. They are signed to Church Road Records, one of our favourite labels, and have played a number of high profile events including Bloodstock, Incineration and 2000Trees festivals. They've also secured sought after support slots including Car Bomb, Sylosis and Employed to Serve. We have no doubt they'll be playing bigger and bigger venues in the next few years. Get in while you can!
Next on the lineup we have Berenice, a UK band carving out their kingdom with grindy, HM2 chainsaw-flavoured savagery. Berenice is comprised of members from a number of other UK bands on the radar of those in the know. Releasing an EP through filth-purveyors APF Records in 2024, they have already secured impressive slots such as Grind After Death Fest and support for Undeath.
Last but by no means least we have Adur. Having recently formed they have already secured a number of gigs in the ever-competitive Brighton metal scene. With deep roots in the UK’s doom, metalcore, hardcore, and sludge scenes, Adur distills decades of sonic extremity into music that’s emotionally raw and relentlessly heavy. Their sound is expansive and oppressive, balancing brooding riffs and moments of fragile calm with eruptions of harrowing volume.
This lineup is not to be missed. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
