Explore Bude’s history inside its most iconic landmark with Heritage Curator Janine King on a fascinating guided tour of The Castle. Built in 1830 by Sir Goldsworthy Gurney as one of his many remarkable experiments, The Castle today houses a unique collection of artefacts.
During the tour, you’ll uncover stories of Bude’s rich and varied history, the intriguing past of The Castle itself, and the lives of its former residents.

• Please arrive at the main entrance 5 minutes before departure
• The tour is wheelchair accessible
• Limited Disabled Parking is available at the top of the driveway, near the entrance
