Capturing an atmospheric reality set somewhere between Neil Young ,Calexico, and Tom Petty, Dave Burn is a London-based rootsy folk Americana singer-songwriter distinguished by his memorable melodies and shrewd lyricism.
Dave Burn came to national attention as vocalist and guitarist of now defunct alt-country Americana band Ahab, enjoying a whirlwind period on the Americana scene, gathering famous fans such as BBC Radio DJ’s Bob Harris and Simon Mayo along the way. He currently performs alongside singer-songwriter Kirsten Adamson in harmony laden duo The Marriage, and much respected UK Americana band Orphan Colours.
He has co-written with many other highly regarded artists in the UK alt-country and Americana scene, among them Danny & The Champions Of The World, Blair Dunlop, Danni Nicholls, Benjamin Folke Thomas, Katzenjammer, and most recently Sol Heilo on her new album Indigo Star.
His forthcoming album Medium Dave and Friends is set for release later this year on Street Mission Records
Singer-songwriter Michael J Sheehy's first band Dream City Film Club were signed to Beggars Banquet towards the end of last century, and despite early promise they crashed and burned after recording their second album. Sheehy then released three critically acclaimed solo albums with Beggars Banquet and toured Europe and the USA with the likes of Kristin Hersch, Tindersticks, Ed Harcourt and Bauhaus front man Peter Murphy.
He has continued making music as a solo artist and as part of the rock band Miraculous Mule as well as one half of psychedelic electronic duo United Sounds of Joy. In 2020 he released his critically acclaimed solo album ‘Distance Is The Soul of Beauty’, his first in a decade.
