Thrilled to be hosting this great show with the brilliant Dear Laika! Isabelle’s Thorn’s project makes extraordinary music, rich with strangeness and mystery, and we can’t wait to host her and her band at London’s coolest space The Horse Hospital!
Dear Laika’s first album Pluperfect Mind was given 8.0 by Pitchfork, and is an amazing piece of work, but now with a band backing her the sound is less ambient electronica and more jazz prog / early 80s Kate Bush - can’t wait to see it!
Support comes from Oxford’s newest and greatest slow-fi heroes iiis, and the wonderful instrumentation of the Toby Evans-Jesra Quartet, four guitars arranged by Toby of the bands Leather.head and Lobby.
FYI this gig is all ages with under 14s accompanied by an adult, and the venue room is wheelchair accessible, though the toilets are not. More about the venue’s accessibility here: https://www.thehorsehospital.com/accessibility
