Event information

Kettle Tales – Monthly Writing Group at Cosham Community Kettle
First Monday of the month, 2–4 pm
(except September, when we meet on Mon 8th)
Free: No ticket required, OR you can pre-book (and donate to the Kettle).

Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cuppa, and let the stories flow.
Kettle Tales is a friendly, low-pressure writing group where words bubble up as easily as conversation around the teapot. Whether you’re scribbling your first lines or polishing a novel, you’ll find a welcoming space to share, write, and explore.

Our workshops are inclusive, supportive, and designed to meet people exactly where they are. Just bring yourself (and maybe a favourite pen) – no experience needed.

Upcoming dates:
- Mon 8 Sept
- Mon 6 Oct
- Mon 3 Nov
- Mon 1 Dec

Hosted at Cosham Community Kettle, where stories and brews are best enjoyed together.

Supported by Portsmouth Creates #InOurWords, Wip2 offers workshops that are welcoming, inclusive, and meet people where they are.

“No pressure to share—this is about expression, not perfection.”
“We’ve found people often surprise themselves with what they write.”
“The taster gives us both a chance to see what might work going forward.”
