The Granddaddy of the zombie genre is a sparse and serious introduction to Romero's layered story telling, simultaneously setting the template for the shambling, flesh-eating universal monster while weaving in a thought-provoking social commentary. Sharp, edgy, menacing and magnetic. A genuine classic.
