Practical introduction to making preserves with Vinegar: Using seasonal produce from Dunton Garden
Aim: By the end of the session, you should have a sample of chutney to take away with you and an understanding of the theory & practical steps when preserving with vinegar, demonstrated in a couple of ways to try on your own at home.
If possible, please bring a couple of clean screw top glass jars with lids and a suitable container to carry them home in as they will be hot.
There may be an opportunity to buy garden produce to preserve at home.
The course is being led by Joy who, until recently, made a wide range of preserves for Dunton Community Garden. She has led two successful fruit preserving workshops already this summer.
This is a stand-alone course. You do not need to have attended fruit preserving to learn about vinegar preserves, but there will be a small amount of repetition of theory for anyone that has,
