Dom Joly- multi-award-winning comedian, travel writer and broadcaster has a really big year ahead in the UK. He first shot to fame with the global smash hit Trigger Happy TV that sold to over 80 countries. The Cheltenham resident has created a set of surprise nights a little closer to home.
Dom Joly’s SpeakeaZy is a cabaret of curiosities, a late-night chat show style experience located in Cheltenham. Dom's SpeakeaZy at The Steam and Whistle Pub, opposite Cheltenham Spa railway station, will blend music, comedy, culture and current affairs. He'll feature some local talent, host unplugged sets from bands he loves and interview a series of mystery guests from the worlds of music, comedy, and politics. No two nights will ever be the same, so you can as you might imagine at times 'expect the unexpected'.
For those feeling peckish, artisan pizzas will be on sale 4.30pm until 6pm, after 6pm pizza snacking slices (= 1/4 of 13 inch pizza) will be available from the bar to eat upstairs, Margherita, Pepperoni & Funghi, whilst stocks last. No food can be taken downstairs into SpeakeaZy event area.
