Saturday night at Jamboree with the fantastic Kodjovi Kush and the Afrospot Band, a sheer rhythm machine exploring and expressing the authentic dance music of Togo, Ghana, Benin and beyond!
Expect a blaze of Afrobeat, Highlife, Rumba, Folk, Reggae, Kamou, Abgadga and more.
Support on the night comes from the splendid Roofcats. Coming from folk roots, the band sing and whale the blues like their lives depend on it, in an energising and enchanting, Joplin-Reinhardt-esque daydream. Inspired by songs that have been circling for centuries, the band sing stories of the past present and futures. It's a folk, blues and jazz love triangle, and the cats prowl the peripheries, grinning.
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
