PIXEL DASH - Get ready for a unique, hands-on creative experience where young people can dive into the exciting world of video game design! Whether working independently or as part of a team, participants will explore the fundamentals of visual storytelling, graphics creation, and level building. Using the bespoke Pixel Dash game editor, students can unleash their imagination to design characters, build environments, and develop gameplay mechanics. The session culminates in the creation of a fully playable, retro-styled video game – designed entirely by them! Perfect for aspiring game developers, artists, or anyone curious about how games are made, Pixel Dash offers a fun, accessible introduction to the art and craft of game creation.

For Ages: 12-14 / Duration: 75 mins.

Start Time: 3.30pm (Exit Time: 4.45pm).

Venue: Ulster Museum, Learning Zone.

This is a drop-off workshop. Parent/guardian supervision is not required. On the day of the workshop, parent/guardian will be asked to fill in a contact details registration form before the event.
