Event information
Trinka is a vibrant Afro-Brazilian trio that blends organic rhythms with voice, synth, and guitar. Their debut six-track EP features original lyrics by various Lusophone writers, including José Eduardo Agualusa from Angola. The trio combines Afro-Brazilian rhythms with modern musical elements.
The trio hails from Lisbon, a creative hub for Afro-Portuguese and Brazilian culture. It includes Brazilian singer and Candomblé practitioner Dandara Modesto, Portuguese writer/producer João Pires (Coladera), and Brazilian percussionist Juninho Ibituruna (Graveola, Tizumba). Together, they create music that bridges heritage and modernity.
