JOSEPH ALLRED

Visionary folk guitarist Joseph Allred will be performing at the Cellar on his very first UK tour. Hailing from Tennessee, US, Allred channels a rich sense of place and history into his fingerstyle guitar work, weaving narratives of memory, myths and rural life. Their performances are intimate, emotional journeys, blending American Primitive guitar with Appalachian Folk. Their style has been likened to players such as Jon Renbourne and Robbie Basho, with an extensive back catalogue somewhere between 25-30 albums deep. Brighton-based experimental artist whose work mixes sample based folktronica and baroque pop. They use loops, saxophone, harp, musical saw and founds sounds to create immersive, heartfelt pieces rife with detail an beauty. Little Victories released in 2022 on Eyeless Records.
