Thornton Hough Comedy Club returns with another stonking line-up on Friday, April 10.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar’s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan.
Headlining our April night will be the magnificent Steve Gribbin.
The scathingly satirical Scouse song-thrush is renowned for his skilful skewering of topical idiocies which has made him one of the most in-demand acts on the British and worldwide comedy circuit.
Steve specialises in musical topical comedy, the more biting and bitter, the better.
He performs comedy songs in a dazzling variety of styles that always suit their subject matter, from the Prince-meets-Cardi B mash up of “Debbie Does Dishwasher” about long term relationship turn-ons to being an Embarrassing Dad “I’m YourDad! (So Just Deal With It). Since going solo from Alternative Comedy stars SKINT VIDEO in March 1994, Steve has notched up well over 8,000 gigs on the UK andinternational live comedy circuit. From 1993-2020 Steve was one of the main members of the weekly topical comedy show at The Comedy Store in London called “The Cutting Edge”.

The opening act is force of nature Dawn Bailey.
Dawn Bailey is a comedian known for her relatable humourand down-to-earth comedic style, delivering sharp observations with warmth and wit, making her a crowd favourite. Dawn’s engaging stage presence and authentic storytelling have earned her a growing fanbase on the comedy circuit.

We’ll also have a set from Josh Sedman – who performs across the UK, in well-known venues such as The Stand Comedy Club Newcastle and Hot Water Comedy Club and whose awards include Cat ‘n Stick New Comedian of The Year 2023.

The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant Ben Turner, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.

Food will be available from a local vendor on the night.
