Thornton Hough Comedy Club returns with another rib-tickling line-up on Friday, June 12.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar’s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan.
New Headliner for our June 12 night is the hilarious Dave Williams. A full-time comedian since 1998, Dave is booked by a wide range of bookers and venues including the Comedy Store, Manford’s Comedy Clubs and Frog and Bucket. He has performed overseas in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Australia, including a week headlining the Sydney Comedy
Store. He has also performed in Cyprus for soldiers returning from Afghanistan.Dave has been a contributor to Radio 4 Extra’s topical comedy show Newsjack.
In 2014 Dave supported Tom Stade on part of his tour, including the gigs that were filmed for Tom’s live DVD.
Combining comedy with his former career as a management trainer, Dave runs the Frog and Bucket’s stand-up comedy course. In 2014 Dave performed his first spoken-word show on the Edinburgh Fringe. Prufrock and Me is a poignant account of growing up and is based on the T S Eliot poem The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock.

The opening act is the loveable scamp CHRIS GILES.
Yorkshire-based Chris's style of storytelling, observational comedy, as well as sound for like impersonations, and crowd interaction has seen him perform all over the country. He's gained himself a reputation for being a very entertaining stand up not to be missed.

We’ll also have a set from JAMES ALLEN.
A 2018 Chortle Student Finalist, James delivers whimsical tales of personal embarrassment that have seen him support George Lewis and Hayley Ellis on tour.
The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant BEN TURNER, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.
