Alma is a trio based in Glasgow comprising of three independent singer-songwriters, Anna Cassidy, Ellyn Oliver and Marina Rolink who have come together over their love of lush harmony and considered songwriting. Anna and Ellyn first met in 2020 competing at the Danny Kyle Open Stage, and more recently in 2024 a friendship between the three has blossomed though the local songwriting community. Alma went on to win a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections after their first ever set in February 2025. All three songwriters who are well-seasoned in performing around Scotland, and have come together to write original material which they are now ready to share with live audiences. Taking inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and The Staves, the trio seek to create songs that are warm, honest, and thoughtful. This is all reflected in the root origin of their name, ‘Alma’, which means soul, heart and spirit.

Since winning the Danny Kyle award, Alma has had a wonderful year of recording, releasing and gigging across the country. Alma's first track, Magpie was released in April. The song has been played regularly since on BBC Radio Scotland, Celtic Music Radio, CamGlen Radio and Amazing Radio. Alma have performed at Edinburgh Folk Club, Gathering South in Glasgow, various house concerts and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, both as a trio and with their extended band. They are in the studio October 2025 to record new music to release over the winter months.

‘Quick' - a five piece band - who are a self-described 'newgrass' band based from Glasgow.
The band have recently played a number of high profile shows including Glasgow's Royal Concert, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, BBC’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Country to Country Festival.
Their long-awaited EP release of “Paper Planes & Picture Frames” in September 2022 was met with an excellent reception by Quick fans and the listeners of the BBC Radio Scotland’s The Afternoon Show with Janice Forsyth and Grant Stott.
