Event information
In 1984 Milos Forman brought this movie version of Peter Schaffer’s hugely successful stage play to the big screen. Against the backdrop of the 18th century Imperial Austrian court, it imagines a rivalry between the establishment composer Antonio Salieri and maverick prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. With a soundtrack conducted by Neville Marriner the film brilliantly explores themes of musical creativity and talent, and featuring outstanding performances from the cast this newly remastered classic is a fitting culmination to our weekend celebration of 'Films at 50'.
Ticket price includes a free glass of bubbly and nibbles. As the running time is a bit longer than average we will be starting the film at 7pm.
