In this concert, Wareham Whalers will explore some of the many words and phrases that originated at sea, on board sailing ships and have found their way into common everyday English usage. Through readings and songs, and in their usual lighthearted fashion, Whalers will share many of these with you including expressions such as touch and go and gone for a burton.
All proceeds raised by this concert will go to support the excellent work of the RNLI.
