Ran Kan Kan are back! (after a 6-month break) with an evening of live music from the golden years of Cuban big bands, playing funky mambos, son montuno and rumba, for you to dance to.

The evening kicks off with a dance class, led by the charismatic Ariel Rios, to get you in the mood to shake your stuff, Cuban-style.

Cowley Workers' Social Club will groove to music and rhythms from the era of Buena Vista Social Club, Tito Puente and other salsa giants, brought to you by Ran Kan Kan, Oxford's 20-piece Cubanista big band. Lead singers Karla Pena, Melisa Akdogan and Diego Villalobos are supported by virtuoso brass and woodwind, funky violin and complex and syncopated Latin rhythms from a 6-piece rhythm section.

Ariel Rios will DJ between sets and through to midnight.

Be warned - you will want to dance.
