In the ancient days of Exeter, when the Cavern was the beating heart of the southwest underground, two mighty DJ collectives arose from the shadows. They commanded turntables like swords and laptops like crossbows, each seeking dominion over the city’s restless dancefloors.

For years, FYC and Lo-Fi/Hi-Fi battled it out within the stone wall circuit of club nights and house parties, where beats clashed like steel and basslines crashed like war drums, and every manner of mind-altering substance was fuelling the fire and expanding communal consciousness.

This rivalry became the stuff of local legend. But as the seasons passed, a greater darkness revealed itself…

It soon became clear to our heroes that it was not one another they should fear, but a far fouler foe: the tyrannical reign of cheesy downtown nightclubs. Arena’s cursed halls rang with the foul cries of Rihanna, the haunting chants of Abba, and the dreaded horn of the Baywatch theme. People suffered under this glittering yoke of mediocrity for what seemed like an eternity…

Until, that is, the warring DJ collectives cast aside their petty differences and laid down their arms. United under a single banner, they forged a new sonic fellowship, turning their allied weapons of sound against the tidal wave of cultural dross. And so, the coalition known as FYC/LO-FI/HI-FI was born.

It is a moniker still carried across nights of mayhem and revelry, whispered in club queues, echoed at afterparties, and forever carved into the hearts of Exeter alumni across the land.

Now, two decades later, the Fellowship stirs once more. Ancient records are being dusted off, the decks are being primed, and the OG DJ crews are preparing to reconvene for a reunion unlike any other…

Switchblade Rio. Monsieur Ferro. Circa 77. All the usual suspects have amassed in anticipation of what promises to be the Reunion to end all reunions—mainly because there will never be another one!

This is it boys and girls. One last party for old time’s sake!

Consider this a summons.
To witness the return.
To dance in defiance.
To celebrate the saga.
