Wonky Socket Promotions and Strummer Room Records Presents are teaming up to bring a night of cracking alternative music to Gloucester's Secret Mini Ramp Project.
The gig features Dead Anyway, Gloucester's own spoken word/electronica & live drums duo, Kate Arnold & Marc Symonds.
Joining Dead Anyway are Oxford's Means of Production. MOP create punky, acidy, stripped-to-the-bone electro, laced with deadpan vocals and the kind of blistering grooviness that could start a riot in a health retreat. Accompanied by compelling visuals created live in the moment, they are a duo not to be missed. Check out their brilliant debut full-length album 'Joy' - it's been on heavy rotation at Wonky Socket HQ since its release in August.
Kicking the night off is Banbury's wonderful Wundabyte. Wundabyte is simply an enigma. A trip through the electronica/punk rabbit hole with songs tackling the angst of simply living in today's world. One man. One mic. One mouth. Over a skeletal sonic backdrop, Wundabyte wanders back and forth, trampling a trail between rhyme and reason. Pithy and flinty observations are served up raw, but with a world-weary warmth that rewards you for lending your ear. An absolutely captivating live performer.
This night promises to be a banger, and tickets are limited - so don't miss out!
