From the witches in Macbeth to the fairies in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the supernatural makes frequent appearances in Shakespeare’s plays. So the Inn Theatre Company is staging an evening steeped in mystery, with scenes from many of his best-loved plays (and a few less well-known ones) all featuring ghosts, prophecies, omens, fairies, potions, witches or other unnatural forces. Magic and witchcraft were widely accepted as part of life in Tudor times, and with the performance around Hallowe’en time, it’s the perfect season to enjoy this collection of otherworldly scenes.
