Downbeat Magazine's ‘Rising Star' Theon Cross rose to fame as a core member of the Mercury–nominated Sons of Kemet and has collaborated with the likes of Kano, Theo Croker, The Smile, Little Simz, Stormzy, Jon Batiste and many more. He is one of those rare musicians whose vision has redefined their instrument. Through his combination of technical mastery, studio smarts, deep musical knowledge and expansive vision, the power and originality of Theon’s playing has reinvented the tuba’s place in modern music. He has released 2 highly acclaimed albums - Intra-I and FYAH - under his own name as well as the Affirmations EP and 'Wings' single.
Birmingham multi-instrumentalist Judah Daniels leads a dynamic trio with Liz Blackwell (bass) and Wynn Tasker (drums). Performing lyrical originals and inventive takes on standards that blend tradition, RnB, and contemporary jazz, their shows are alive with rhythm, spontaneity, and joy.
