Bitchfinder General pit their piledriving barrage of shouty, sexy goth smeared nonsense against the immovable tombstone that are blistering Birmingham queer/trans punks Luxury Nan Smell.

Bitchfinder General are a chaotic queer punk explosion! Hear campy, tortured ballads about the life of a spider in a bath and driving anthems about men at football showing affection. Having become a fixture of Newcastle’s DIY scene, the Bitchfinders will bring their infamous Bitch Trial to the arena of The Cumberland Arms. BFG featuring synth and vocals from Jayne Dent (Me Lost Me), DIY Ceilidh’s Frankie Insley delivering shouty gothy madness alongside driving bass from DGA Collective’s Sarah Li and the merciless metorik drum beats of James O’Coaimh (Bullion Train).


Luxury Nan Smell

Birmingham's nosiest math-rock scented three piece LUXURY NAN SMELL present a collection of silly riffs. After meeting in art-pop outfit Sofa King, Rose Davies (she/her, guitar) and Emily Doyle (she/her, bass) enlisted blast beat enthusiast Jacob Spink (he/him, drums) to dream up a defiantly danceable fusion of post-punk, sludge, and bedroom emo.


In late 2023 Luxury Nan Smell self-released their debut EP (derogatory) recorded with the help of THEBIGHELL’s Thomas Edward. They’ve since mostly focused on selling boutique soap as per their name, though they have found time to perform on bills with the likes of Pom Poko, DSM IV, Victim Unit and Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam.
