Filmed adaptation of the Offenbach opera by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressberger. A romantic poet named ETA Hoffman (Robert Rounseville) reflects on three women he loved and lost in the past: a mechanical performing doll, a Venetian courtesan, and the consumptive daughter of a celebrated composer. A great opportunity to see this fine film on our cinema screen. Cert U
