About Teenage Waitress:
Blending classic British songwriting with bold modern production and IBS, Teenage Waitress is the brainchild of solo artist Daniel Ash. With a sound that channels the melodic richness of The Beatles, the wry storytelling of Squeeze, and the experimentation of Berlin-era Bowie, Teenage Waitress is redefining pop for a new generation. Following the release of two critically acclaimed albums — Love and Chemicals and Your Cuckoo — Teenage Waitress has quickly earned a loyal following and widespread praise for his unique “short story” songs. Teenage Waitress has featured in publications such as Shindig!, MOJO and CLASH and have previously opened for The Zombies and Reverend and The Makers. With big melodies, bold intricate arrangements, and a sharp lyrical edge, Teenage Waitress offer a unique modern echo of the golden age of British pop. For fans of: The Magnetic Fields, Squeeze, The Divine Comedy, The Beatles, Elvis Costello.
About Shoes On, Now!:
Shoes On, Now! are a band with very specific hobbies and interests, and they seem weirdly keen on telling you all about them. They started their musical life mixing chiptune and programmed drums with noisy guitar pop, to tell stories from the perspective of various 90s video game characters. Then, as is so often the case, they transitioned to making semi-autobiographical 16-song punk rock concept albums about doing the garden. You know how it is... Their latest release 'Deadhead' (the gardening one, not one of the old video games ones...) is available on all good streaming services, and some of the truly awful ones. They are looking forward to playing you their songs and telling you all about their new mower.
