Glas-Goes Pop is thrilled to present a night steeped in pop history at Glasgow’s beloved Mono Café, where we host an irresistible triple bill celebrating the past, present, and future of indie pop.

Heavenly, one of the crown jewels of the legendary Sarah Records roster, reunited in May 2023 for a pair of shows in London, much to the delight of devoted fans around the world. Select shows in the US and Europe followed, including a joyous set at GGP24. Heavenly helped define the sound of early ’90s indie pop — witty, wistful and defiantly DIY. We are delighted that they are touring in 2026 in support of an eagerly anticipated new album where we have no doubt that spirit will live on.

Sharing that lineage are The Orchids, Glasgow’s own Sarah Records stalwarts, whose tender, quietly romantic songs have only grown more resonant with age. From their earliest singles through to their modern work, The Orchids embody the melodic sophistication and emotional honesty that resonates with the passionate pop faithful. There was no question they would be the perfect addition to the night.

Completing the bill, The Cords represent the new school — a fresh generation picking up the jangling guitars and heartfelt lyrics where their heroes left off. Grace and Eva have been blazing a trail across the UK, playing sell-out shows in support of their debut album, clocking in at 30-and-a-half minutes for 13 songs, an equation that brings knowing smiles to our faces. That is pop at its most exuberant, bursting with youthful energy.
