Bruce Adams, who hails from Glasgow is one of the UK's pre-eminent jazz trumpet stars. His playing lights up the room. His life story is here. Here's an extract:
For several years Bruce played the Cat Anderson Chair in Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington culminating in a tour with the Birmingham Royal Ballet playing the Cat Anderson solo on “The Madness in Great Ones. A featured guest soloist with the BBC Big Band, Bruce also worked with Lennie Niehaus, Gerald Wilson, and Patti Austin. Bruce also played in the Cuban Fire Concert with Horatio el Negra Hernandez and Giovanni Hidalgo.
Put him together with Martin Dale on tenor sax, and the sparks will fly. These are two truly world class musicians with a great band – you could be at any of the top jazz clubs in the world, right here on your doorstep.
