The Antic Follies return to Jamboree on December 7th with a spectacular Sunday night of cabaret, burlesque, comedy and live music!
“…the dirty alternative to Soho’s glitz, a diabolical night of cabaret and burlesque"
Guest performers include:
Dusty Limits!
Dusty (pictured) has been described as 'cabaret royalty', which for a Catholic is problematic. Nonetheless, they are a multi award-winning chanteur and general rapscallion. They will be singing lacerating satirical songs and probably flirting quite a lot. They are currently single.
Michael Brunström!
Michael is a surrealist comedian who has created numerous solo shows, including 'Parsley', 'The Great Fire of London', 'World of Sports' and 'Copernicus Now', which was nominated for the Best Show Award at the 2024 Leicester Comedy Festival. He's a winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and a member of the award-winning Weirdos Comedy Collective.
**** 'A stunning piece of comedy ... completely unpredictable.' (Comedy to Watch)
**** 'An artistic genius' (Skinny)
**** 'Sense-bendingly entertaining ... a joy.' (Scotsman)
**** 'You will see nothing else that is so clever and funny.' (North West End)
Dominic Jones!
Dominic sings obsessive songs and tells literary tales about the morbid and the mystical that strike a fine line between humour and darkness.
Cheekykita!
"Wild, absurd, and gloriously un-pigeon-holed, Cheekykita has built a reputation for comedy that refuses to behave, and this year's show might be her funniest yet - part stand-up showcase, part dance, part cabaret, part installation art. Trying to pin it down is almost pointless, but imagine Kate Bush marrying The Mighty Boosh, with Harry Hill officiating, and you're in the right ballpark. What makes it work is Cheekykita herself. Mancunian charm, pop-culture wit, endlessly engaging. I haven't laughed this hard at any show all year ,rare to see a performer take risks this bold and pull them off with such conviction" ***** - One4Review
And the night is rounded off by a set from one of our house bands, The Bohemianauts, featuring Tom Baker on voice and accordion, Raf Lijtman on guitar and Nick Doyne-Ditmas on double bass.
"Gypsy vaudeville, bastard cabaret, and songs of unrequited dread"...
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
