Thornton Hough Comedy Club returns with another rib-tickling line-up on Friday, November 13.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar’s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan.
Headlining our November 13 night will be the sublime SUSAN MURRAY.
Described as a “feisty fire-headed pocket rocket” by Broadway Baby, Susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups in the UK and was the first ever woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army.
She has written for and was a guest on Jeremy Hardy Talks to The Nation and has penned a string of successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival. She made her TV acting debut in the 3rd series of ITV’s “The Job Lot” alongside Jo Enright and Russell Tovey.

The opening act is magnificent MIKE KEENAN, a rising star on the UK circuit, performing reguarly for clubs and promoters across the UK in addition to writing for BBC radio.
He has been described as "Brilliant" (Up The Creek), "A Joy to Watch" (Shoecake Comedy) and "Superb" (Backyard Comedy Club).
His first solo show “Impossible Dream” was nominated for the 2025 Best Debut Award at Leicester Comedy Festival. His Year 9 Maths Teacher said he "will never achieve anything of worth if he keeps joking around" and so he leant into it.
We’ll also have a set from the pulsating BEN HART. The charming but crucially hilarious Northerner is making a real name for himself on the comedy circuit with his review quotes including “watch him now before it costs you a fortune” and “funny, confident, and relatable”. We know you’ll love him too.
The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant BEN TURNER, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.
