Join Saxauphonics Saxophone Quartet on a musical journey through the history of Bishops' House. Enjoy music from across the centuries, interspersed with information on the history of the house and local area for each period.
Formed in January 2023, Saxauphonics is a new venture by old friends, having played together in various groups and combinations since the noughties. We are a saxophone quartet based in Beauchief and Hillsborough and have performed at various events across the city. Our repertoire ranges from baroque classics by Bach and Haydn to modern pop songs, TV theme tunes and Christmas carols. Our members play in various ensembles across Sheffield (often on other instruments) and we're all quite partial to cake.
