Word Kitchen proudly present our Festive Fandango
December 15th at Exeter Phoenix

A Fandango?? It can be any of the following:
*a lively Spanish courtship dance
*a piece of music for that dance
*a foolish or pointless activity
*OR a rich recipe, like our Festive Fandango, stirred to perfection, to suit a wide range of tastes.

Put on your festive gladrags and come to the Word Kitchen Festive Fandango: a heady cocktail fizzing with festive themed poetry & prose, and seasonal stories that touch the heart or the funny bone.
Scrooge has promised to make an appearance and will be handing out more humbug than you can shake a stick at.
Join our other special guests including the brilliant Bard of Exeter - Kev Payne, the delightful sauciness of Daphne Milne, Peter Farrie with seasonal musical ditties at the keyboard and Julian 'Aunty Pus' Isaacs offering us some of his best farewells of the year as the maestro of Facebook Obituaries.

Other delights include a massively competitive Wintery Literary Quiz. There'll some open mic spots for short festive pieces ( this can be Christmas, a winter theme, a memory of this time of year - so do create new words to bring along - mic spots are 5 mins max. )

We're offering comfort, joy and jollity all in one setting – no better place to be on a Monday night in December than at the Exeter Phoenix for the Festive Fandango. Doors open 6.15pm See you there!
