Event information

Newly Nashville based, originally hailing from the ancient market town of Bedford, England,
growing up on the American roots music of her Anglo-Indian grandmother’s record
collection, singer/songwriter Danni Nicholls has been steadily paving her way on the global
Americana scene building a loyal fan base and much critical praise.

With the wind still in her sails from putting out one acclaimed release after another,
multiple award nominations, extensive tours and opening slots with the likes of The Secret
Sisters, Shakin' Stevens, Sturgill Simpson and Lucinda Williams plus songs featured in
mainstream shows such as Sons of Anarchy...Danni, her powerful, arresting voice and
dynamically poetic original songs which span the Americana spectrum from country and
blues to jazz, folk and soul, are ever-gaining presence and reach.

Having been invited to perform all over the world at prestigious events and festivals such as
Cambridge Folk (UK), Tønder (Denmark) and Americanafest (USA), Danni is no stranger to
the big stages which she loves to fill with her strong voice - both literally and metaphorically
- singing songs with messages of hope and healing.

“I absolutely love the elegance and beauty of her music” - Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

Dave Burn is a London-based rootsy folk Americana singer-songwriter distinguished by his memorable melodies and shrewd lyricism, who early on was hailed as capturing an atmospheric reality set somewhere between Neil Young and Calexico, and Tom Petty, in terms of writing style.
He also currently performs alongside singer-songwriter Kirsten Adamson in harmony laden duo The Marriage and contributes regularly to Orphan Colours, another band he was fundamental in starting.
Having strong family ties with the US from a young age, Dave spent many weeks each year with his grandfather in Arizona where he was immersed in the vast and cinematic vista of the sun-soaked landscape, imprinting its majestic, yet rugged beauty on his development as a musician. He first struck out on his own with his aptly named and highly lauded debut solo album “Arizona” back in 2017, but before then broke through as the vocalist and guitarist of alt-country Americana band ahab, who impressed everyone with their seamless 4-part vocal harmonies, and enjoyed a whirlwind few years on the Americana scene gaining famous fans such as BBC Radio DJ’s Bob Harris and Simon Mayo.
At various points, Dave Burn has gone on to co-write with many other highly regarded artists of the genre, including Danny & The Champions Of The World, Blair Dunlop, Danni Nicholls, Benjamin Folke Thomas, Katzenjammer, and Sol Heilo.
