‘Rising Stars’ Thorpe and Morrison are an innovative and energetic folk duo based in Birmingham. They formed out of the vibrant Birmingham music scene in 2019 while studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. They have been making a name for themselves on the folk scene in England and have toured to much critical acclaim, receiving airtime on BBC and NPR radio stations. Festival appearances include Towersey Festival, Moseley Folk Festival, Warwick Folk Festival Power Folk 9, Gate to Southwell, Beardy Folk Festival and their most recent album “Live Shenanigans” was nominated by Bright Young Folk in their Reader’s Choice Poll for Album of the Year 2022.
