Event information

It’s been a long and eventful road for GODSTICKS since emerging onto the progressive rock scene in 2009. Metal Hammer Magazine called them “the U.K’s most idiosyncratic rock band” and when the “genre redefining” prog metal masterpiece that was ‘Emergence’ was released in 2015, it garnered them new fans from all over the world and ultimately led to them being signed to Kscope.

Soon followed ‘Faced With Rage’ in 2017, ‘Inescapable’ in 2020 and ‘This Is What A Winner Looks Like’ in 2023; three more critically acclaimed albums showcasing their chugging guitar riffs, intricate solos and driving rhythm section. Also in their last few years of touring, the band have gained recognition as the explosive, high energy live act they’d always threatened to become.

Now after being holed up in the studio for the last 18 months GODSTICKS are finally being released into the wild once more, armed with new music from their seventh studio album ‘VOiD’ which will be released on March 27th 2026. They say it is “the toughest and most demanding record we've ever made" featuring music that has "pushed us to the very extremes of what we can do as musicians.” Their upcoming live shows will see a monumental release of tension and energy from this darker and angrier incarnation of Godsticks, so be prepared to be greeted with a ferocious sonic punch-in-the-face; it's one that you won’t want to miss.

Joining them for this special one-off co-headline show is LESOIR, a five piece band hailing from Maastricht, Netherlands. Their 2019 self-released album 'Mosaic,' in collaboration with Glassville Records, received widespread acclaim and earned placements on annual charts. Then in 2020, their 20-minute-and-20-second epic 'Babel' which had pressed on handmade vinyl sold out all 250 copies within four weeks. LESOIR's live chemistry and groovy hooks have been commended, along with their distinctive approach to songwriting which is highlighted on their sixth studio album 'Push Back the Horizon'.

Produced by John Cornfield (renowned for his work with Muse, Kashmir and others) LESOIR also collaborated with Paul Reeve, the vocal producer for Matt Bellamy of Muse, as well as Steve Kitch (keyboardist of The Pineapple Thief) who handled the mastering. 'Push Back The Horizon' delves into the intricacies of human existence, exploring relationships and life's complexities. A sometimes limited control over circumstances adds nuance to the human experience, revealing a collective tipping point. The album offers a snapshot of relatable stories, emphasizing life's potential for both thoughtful moments and unexpected events that provide glimmers of hope. Centered on family and brotherhood, it transcends geographical boundaries, highlighting the power of collective action. Instead of dwelling on the past, the album encourages a forward-looking perspective, urging a collective effort to try again for a better outcome.

Autumn 2023 marked LESOIR's highly successful return to touring Europe with Riverside, acquiring a host of new fans. This momentum propelled them into a packed schedule from November 2023 onward, encompassing headline shows and festival appearances. 'Push Back The Horizon' is now poised for a global release by V2 Records, renowned for their collaborations with Skunk Anansie, Mumford And Sons, Moby, and Ane Brun.
