Transglobal Underground is a pioneering English musical collective known for fusing global beats with electronic music, a style often called world fusion or ethno techno. Since forming in the early 1990s, they have become known for blending genres like dub, funk, and bhangra with traditional and electronic music from various parts of the world, creating high-energy live shows and producing popular tracks like "Temple Head". The group is characterized by a flexible and shifting lineup of approximately 20 artists and a history of successful touring and festival performances.
