About the course
Create a beautiful mosaic heart perfect to hang on a wall in this day of messy creativity with Jane Ellison.
Over the course of the day you will learn about materials, cutting, arranging, fixing, and grouting to design and create your own mosaic heart. The tutor will demonstrate grouting, and grout will be supplied for you to take home, this is because the mosaic will need to dry before you can grout it, once grouted your mosaic will be all ready to hang.
Suitable for all, beginners and those who have done mosaic in the past. All materials will be provided, but do feel free to bring any broken crockery you have at home to include in your mosaic should you wish.
About the Tutor
Jane is an experienced mosaic artist, printmaker, and tutor. With a background in printed textiles and surface design she has a particular interest in the social and wellbeing benefits of art and creativity.
This workshop runs over two days over one weekend. Saturday 7th February 10:30am - 4pm and Sunday 8th February 2-4pm. Lunch is included on the Saturday.
