Event information
Michael Roach, one of thirteen children born in Washington, D.C., USA, sings and plays guitar in an East Coast style of blues that dates back to the 1920s. After spending several years learning directly from such well known figures as John Jackson, John Cephas and Jerry Ricks, Michael Roach has developed his own style and is now an exceptional performer. He interacts with his audience and entertains as he plays.
BearFootSoul
US native singer / songwriter BearFootSoul left Northern Appalachia filled with the love of home-grown roots, rock, blues and forged a soul-searching, home-sick, fun-loving songwriting style in the UK. Weaving an intimate, deeply engaging, magical tapestry, Bear's latest work, EP "Roadbumps & Revelations" showcases four heel-weathered songs paying homage to a life of Grit, Graft, Grace and Gratitude. He's been spreading the message with a tireless series of “other-worldly” solo performances featuring feverishly gritty lyrics, soul-powered vocals and authentically earthy acoustic guitar-driven roots and sizzling country-soul. Audiences are captivated with the Bear's hypnotic charm and humour as he gently invites all to join him on the inside of his songs.
