Katy Hurt proudly presents Good Company Songwriters Circle at Thornton Hough Village Club.
KATY HURT (HOST) - A trailblazing Country/Americana artist now based in Little Neston. A prolific songwriter and powerhouse vocalist, Katy has released a string of critically acclaimed singles and EPs, with her debut album “Gimme A Break” finally arriving on May 23rd. Having taken part in songwriter rounds across the country throughout the years, she’s made lifelong friends and musical connections and dreamed of bringing some of that magic up north. As a songwriter, she’s had several album cuts for other artists and her track "Face to Face” recently featured in the film Slingshot (starring Casey Affleck & Laurence Fishburne). Her singles "Sounds Good In A Bar" and "Wish I Could Give You Up" both hit No. 1 on the UK iTunes chart and received international airplay on CBC, Sirius XM, and Amazon Music.
JESSICA DIVES - Born and raised in the South East, adopted by the North West, Jessica is a folk Singer Songwriter with a vibrancy that shines through in her material and performance. She has been a Liverpool Songwriting Contest finalist 2022 and 2024 has received radio play on the BBC and other national radio, and is supporting folk acts such as Katie Spencer, Calum Gilligan and Kathryn Williams. Jessica is also a selected artist to be featuring in the FATEA spring showcase download 2025. She delights with heartfelt and earnest storytelling, simple and heartbreaking lyricism, and catchy, soaring melodies, delivered with a vocal quality that stops you in your tracks - compared to powerful voices such as Eddi Reader and Sarah Harmer. Her blend of personal and traditional folklore results in a body of work that warms the listener through and lingers long after.
OWEN MORTON - a Liverpool-based singer-songwriter - part time sailor, part time country singer - who brings a fresh perspective to the scene with his silky smooth vocals, classic scouse banter, and a longing to bring the sound of neo-traditional country music to the shores of the UK. Rooted in a rich neo-traditional sound, his songwriting channels the spirit of all his honky tonk heroes - capturing the heartache of George Jones, the wit of Brad Paisley, the rowdy edge of Waylon Jennings, and the romance of Keith Whitley. For fans of neo-trad country, it’s on-track to be a landmark release and a defining step forward in Owen’s journey as an artist.
