Stand-up for Ukraine presents MARK THOMAS

After our sell-out show with Richard Herring earlier this year, Stand-up for Ukraine returns for a second fundraising show headlined by legendary prankster Mark Thomas. We have wanted to book Mark for as long as we can remember and are super excited he is headlining our latest fundraiser.

Mark made his name back in the 1990s with the legendary Channel 4 show, The Mark Thomas Comedy Product. MTCP was a hilarious blend of stand-up, serious political journalism, and pranks. Since then, he has forged a career as one of the funniest political comedians in the country.

★ Fundraising for Ukraine ★
All of the performers and the venue have waived their fees so as much as possible of the revenue can go to help Ukraine. We will be spending the profits from this show buying used 4x4 emergency rescue vehicles which we will donate to the 66th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Army to rescue soldiers and civilians injured in front line areas around Luhansk in Eastern Ukraine. These areas are too cratered and dangerous for regular ambulances to drive and the only way to get in and out is by driving very fast in 4x4s, zig zagging to dodge shots from Russian snipers and artillery (the Russians routinely target medics). We are proud to support the medical work of Ukraine’s brave rescuers and are very grateful for your support.

We will release more details closer to the time but we will have a delicious nacho stall (with veggie and vegan options) and an amazing tombola/gift shop where you can win/buy all kinds of cool patriotic Ukrainian gifts (this is your chance to bag a toilet paper with Putin's face on it or Ukrainian military knock-off Lego models). All proceeds from these stalls will go towards our goal of buying emergency rescue vehicles.
